Everything I Decluttered in November 2024

In continuation of the series I started last month where I’m keeping track of the items I get rid of and donate while I’m officially getting my house in order, here is what I decluttered this past month!

As I mentioned in my previous blog, the list below is transcribed from my phone where I’ve just listed items in the order I decided to declutter them this month – each item was either thrown away, donated, or passed along to someone else who wanted it.

Here’s what I got rid of this month:

  • 5 scrunchies
  • Jeans
  • Jewelry  (15 items)
  • Travel cosmetic bag
  • Romper
  • 2 turtlenecks
  • Set of mini hair clips
  • 2 eye creams
  • 2 mugs
  • 6 old Christmas cards
  • Hand towel
  • Black jeans
  • Broken baby thermometer
  • Wipes dispenser
  • Instruction manual
  • 12 Culligan water bottle lids
  • 3 ice packs
  • 4 jars
  • 2 outdoor pillows
  • Fan
  • Carabiner
  • Garbage carbon filter for odors
  • Bar of soap (still in package)
  • 2 cloth bags
  • 1 over-the-door hook
  • 2 swaddles
  • 2 burp cloths
  • Old pillowcase
  • 4 copper straws
  • One perfect piultry meat tester
  • Spoon
  • 2 white bowls
  • Decorative icing utensil

  • Sweatpants
  • 1 sweater
  • 1 jacket
  • 2 garbage bags of husband’s old clothes (approx 50 items)
  • 1 sweater
  • Old cd
  • 8 books
  • Old watch
  • 1 scarf
  • 1 sweater

Total items decluttered this month: 114 items!

In case you’re wondering, that’s a whopping total of 245 items that we’ve decluttered from our home in the past two months!

It feels so freeing to know that we’re going into the busy holiday rush with less stuff in our home and more space to welcome in the peace of the season.

It’s been a fun little challenge to myself to keep track of what I declutter as I go about my day—usually these items come about as I organize, clean, and am going through my day with the kids around the house. It’s easy to find little things here and there that I’ve overlooked as we’ve been getting settled in our home.

Try keeping a running note on your phone of what you declutter throughout your month—it’s great motivation, and you’ll probably be surprised by how much progress you make!
