I wanted to chat this week about the tagline of my blog, “The Abundant Life With Less,” because to me, that’s what this is all about.
I see minimalism as a means to an end—and that end is to find the abundant and joyful life that’s waiting for you!
Think about the amount of time we spend managing our possessions. If we could reduce or eliminate the amount of negative management we’re doing (i.e., caring for things we don’t want to keep), we could put that time and energy into the things we’re passionate about. However, that often gets pushed aside in favour of time-sensitive things.
It’s time to break out your creative side—grab a notebook, a whiteboard, or whatever you want to jot down some thoughts.
What would you do with your time if you had fewer chores, responsibilities, or items to manage in your home and daily life? What projects or hobbies have you dreamed about taking on? Which relationships would you invest more time in?
Get a few ideas down—they can be big, exciting ones like starting a hobby, a project, or learning something new. Smaller ideas are just as important too! If you would feel fulfilled by taking a morning walk, spending time in your garden, or sitting on your deck reading a book, those are equally worth your time!
Sometimes abundance isn’t tangible.
It might mean the SPACE that you have in your life for joy, moments of peace, or times of happy chaos (parents of littles will understand this all too well!)
What does abundance mean for you in your life?
